The folks at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa were proud that one of their own had been elected to such a high office. However, largesse was not a word in Carlotta’s vocabulary.
Ostracized
Bertram was never sure which suit to wear to these parties thrown by the Face of Everyman. He thought it was a soiree so he came in full mating colors. Which, of course, made everyone else appear dowdy. For the next week he was ostracized by the entire Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa.
Wild Canaries
A few of the Elders dropped by the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa to confer with the face of Everyman about their Class Action Lawsuit. The venerable sage had to be reminded that they sought damages from every bird watchers group for being mislabeled as “Wild Canaries”. They wished to be known as “American Goldfinch”. His memory prodded, he vaguely remembered tearing up the unwinnable law suit.
Old Sayings
Wondrous things are said during the time of the full moon at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa; many the Face of Everyman had heard over and over again; a perennial favorite: My Mom says that if I cross my eyes one more time, they’ll stay crossed forever.”
Ventriloquist
When bored, the Face of Everyman would use his skills as a ventriloquist. Seen above, Robby, a guest at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa, thinks he hears his mother calling for him to come in and put on a sweater. She feels a chill.
Mahjong
Even tho’ it was just Ladies Friday Afternoon Mahjong at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa, Isabella always made an entrance. the Face of Everyman welcomed a bit of theatrics.
League of Women Voters
The motion had been put to a vote and passed. Henceforth the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa Scrap Booking Club would be known as The League of Women Voters. the Face of Everyman was quick to assure them that he had already mailed his ballot.
Diondra
Her parents had named her Diondra (Lady of the Sacred Spring). Most fitting for a youngster born at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa, site of the Spring of Perpetual Giving. Poor old the Face of Everyman he had to avert his gaze each time Diondra stumbled and fell. The gal was without an ounce of poise.
Touch Ups
The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa is normally a petri dish of innovative ideas and products. Seen above is the Face of Everyman being confronted by unhappy customers who have used his patented spray on plumage paint. He resorted to offering free touch-ups for thirty days. Most just wanted their money back.
Sonic Boom
The cool crisp air of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa was shattered by the high speed pass of Zelda, sister of the Bergdorf Twins, and part of their flying circus when she wasn’t away setting world records for something or the other. The shock wave startled the Face of Everyman. His blood pressure reached unheard of extremes.
