American Robin

Father Robin arrived early for the Sunrise Service in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. He was glad that rain had cancelled the pagan ritual usually held on this day by the villagers. the Face of Everyman joined him in that feeling. Certainly, there would be less mess.

Mom always said that the early bird gets the worm but staying up all night wasn’t part of the deal. Rodney felt as though he were part of a night watch, guarding the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. the Face of Everyman slept very soundly.

Territorial disputes would keep the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa a noisy place for the next few weeks. the Face of Everyman wished there was some other way to operate a luxury resort and spa. i.e., remotely.

the face of Everyman continued to suffer the indignities of water splashed in his face. The venerable sage of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa resigned himself to his fate. Some guests were compulsive bathers.

Battling Eddie was a frequent problem at the weekly Happy Hours at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. His belligerence was cause for alarm for everybody including the Face of Everyman.

Father Robin struck a pose for the press reporter’s cameras. He was pleased to be back at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa in time to give his sermon before Super Bowl Sunday was shown on the Jumbotron. the Face of Everyman looked forward to this game himself.

The Monday morning Quarterbacks arrived at all kinds of conclusions as to what should have happened. The massive jumbotron at the Foggy Bottoms resort and Spa had been out of order almost the entire game. Only the Face of Everyman knew who tripped over the power plug.

These two Robins spotted the security camera and turned to ask if they really should jump into that bucket of ice water that had formed at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa? Only the Face of Everyman urged them on. Of course, one was sitting on his face.
