The vast forests of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa posed a peculiar problem for Big Boy: how to leave his scent on trees and bushes so that the ladies would know of his presence. So far, by the Face of Everyman’s count, only four or five would be Mothers had joined his close circle of friends.

Nibbling

Terrence was a timid soul. Stories by the Face of Everyman of crabs and turtles nibbling at your toes freaked out this would-be swimmer. His parents sought help from the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa Mental Health Clinic and the venerable sage agreed to stop telling scary stories; at least for now.

Bonfire

the Face of Everyman laughed when he saw young Clarence carrying nesting material. Turns out it was kindling for the Halloween bonfire; an annual tradition at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa.

Autumn Leaves

the Face of Everyman could not distinguish between dizziness or vertigo. Those pesky raccoons had been spinning him around and around in their endless games of sport. It was of small comfort that the first sign of Fall colors in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa was a fallen leaf resting near his head. Autumn was finally here.

Open Mike Luncheon

The Friday luncheon crowd at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa were often treated to amateur artists performing their skills. the Face of Everyman tried to screen out the worst amongst them; but, every now and again some cockamamie act showed up unannounced. In the old days he would have used the shepherds hook to drag them off stage. Alas, the constraints of OSHA were everywhere.

Mensa Test

Bullard’s Mom had packed his lunch. He was headed to the local university to take the annual Corvus Mensa test. the Face of Everyman had coached him over the last few weeks. Everyone at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa wished the boy well.

Ballet

The ballet troupe booked in to the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa to rest before their World Tour began. the Face of Everyman convinced Natasha that an afternoon performance for the lunch crowd would make new fans for ballet. Natasha received a standing ovation from an appreciative audience.

Orphan

Benny was not the only orphan at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa but he was the only one ostracized for being different. the Face of Everyman had been told that the Mom was a European Starling and the Dad a Brown Headed Cow Bird. The venerable sage was skeptical; he awaited results from 23 & Me.

Unrest

Prompted by rumors of unrest at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa Tula’ came down from the manor house to investigate things for herself. She knew better than to interrogate the Face of Everyman. He was devious.
