Emory suffered yet another disappointment when the Face of Everyman told him that Abigail had flown on to Canada with a flock of strong flyers. What had became of their dreams of raising a family in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa? Next he learned that nesting rates had gone up 20% since last year.

Ernie felt the crushing blow of coming in 2nd in a race where no prize was given for second best. The flight up from Tampico had been uneventful and he felt that victory was assured. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa was the annual goal. From there into Canada for nesting. the Face of Everyman thought about counseling the youngster; but, to what avail. A nap was more important.

A Good Omen

There would be plenty of free drinks tonight as Oswald was presented the coveted Speed-man Trophy. He was the first to arrive at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa as part of the Spring migration. Being in full mating colors was an added bonus; his name would be etched on the cup. the Face of Everyman knew that this was an omen of full bookings till Fall.

Wynken, Blynken and Nod

Wynken, Blynken and Nod tried to set to sea in the most unlikely boat ever. the Face of Everyman was aware of the children’s poem but he wasn’t about to leave the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. The venerable sage suggested that they spend the afternoon on the river boat sight seeing; that should be enough adventure for one day.

Farewell

It had been a cruel Summer in this remote section of the Pacific flyway. Wildly fluctuating temperatures, wildfire haze, and lack of seeds and thistle down had made things difficult for families at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. In fact, these three ladies were the last of their clan. They thanked the Face of Everyman for all he had done to make their visit tolerable.

Shrove Tuesday?

Although Shrove Tuesday wasn’t until March 2022 some of the ladies were practicing their racing skills months ahead of time. Balancing the cakes would come later. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa entrants always do well. the Face of Everyman makes a special batch of his famous pancakes for this annual event.

Mom vs PTA

At the Montietorkie school PTA meeting Mom pointed to her son Beauregard who has been irrevocably harmed by wearing a mask during the recent Avian Flu scare. His disfigurement brought little interest from the somber colored songbirds. They suggested that she take her case to the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa school board. From past experiences the Face of Everyman saw little hope of justice for this unhappy Mom.

It was Eldridge, the village drunk, who first heard the cries for help from the Face of Everyman. It seems that his disorientation had gone all day without notice. His voice now weak and hoarse, the venerable sage had all but given up hope of being rescued. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa public works crane arrived with in the hour to set things straight.

Talk Therapy

Mid-way through the breeding season marriage counseling became big business for the Face of Everyman. This was the third session for Rocky and Chantilly and they were no closer to agreement than on their first visit to the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa Mental Health Clinic. Some how the venerable sage talked them into one more session before the inevitable.
