Little Jewel arrived at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa on the first day of Summer. the Face of Everyman remarked that at first she looked the size of a Chihuahua. Now her once wobbly legs, strong and true, she trots behind her Mom to evade barking dogs.
Touch Ups
The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa is normally a petri dish of innovative ideas and products. Seen above is the Face of Everyman being confronted by unhappy customers who have used his patented spray on plumage paint. He resorted to offering free touch-ups for thirty days. Most just wanted their money back.
Grand Jury
The Grand Jury was quick to indict Panther aka Lucy for the attempted murder of Mullard, a former grounds keeper for the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. the Face of Everyman testified that Panther was a known vagrant and a frequent intruder. The kindle ol’ pensioner may be directed by Court Order to “Bell” the beast.
Merit Badge
Young Bradley had been working to earn his Cub Scout Merit Badge in Environmental Science; but today he was no closer to achievement. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa sponsored the scouting units and the Face of Everyman acted as the Unit Leader. Bradley froze during the rigorous nest building demonstration and the final exam was postponed till he felt that he was ready.
Tinkering
The new speed marks designed in the secret Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa wind tunnel proved to add to Bobby’s speed and agility in every sport. the Face of Everyman was assured a Nobel Prize.
Matrimony
For a small honorarium Father Robin offered to join these two love birds in blessed matrimony. the Face of Everyman, himself a Notary Public, agreed to be witness and waived his modest fee. Indeed, the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa lacks for nothing.
Sonic Boom
The cool crisp air of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa was shattered by the high speed pass of Zelda, sister of the Bergdorf Twins, and part of their flying circus when she wasn’t away setting world records for something or the other. The shock wave startled the Face of Everyman. His blood pressure reached unheard of extremes.
Cerbul de Aur (Golden Stag)
Security cameras caught the image of a large stag. the Face of Everyman was called in to help identify the intruder. Such large beasts seldom find their way to the magical Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. To his surprise the stag could be none other than the Golden Stag of old Gypsy fairy tales. Everyman had not spoken to him in ages and regretted sleeping through the return of such an august visitor.
Surf Issue
The photo shoot was scheduled for early morning at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. The photographer and crew from Sports Illustrated were shooting swim suit models for the Fall Surf edition. the Face of Everyman enjoyed being part of the action and attention except that the constant spray in his face was annoying. His widely recognized photogenic smile slowly turned to thin lips and clenched teeth.
