Archibald took home the trophy in the amateur class. His pantomime of a turkey pleased the judges at the annual classic held at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. the Face of Everyman was a bit envious of Archie’s natural talent.

Thorn

It was census time for the pigeon population of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. Their numbers had increased three fold since early Spring. Even with this remarkable recovery they would remain on the endangered species list. They had strong representation in every capital in the land. the Face of Everyman resigned himself. They would remain a thorn in his side.

Vintage theater returned to please the Summer lunch crowd at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. A favorite tableau was the discovery of gold at Sutter’s Mill. the Face of Everyman had to Google to find a shred of meaning.

He or She?

Mandrake refused to be identified as he or she until all his feathers were in. He felt most comfortable being called Mandrake and he had a trace of a mustache. The guest forms at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa had spaces only for M or F. the Face of Everyman had been following the court’s ruling on such matters but hadn’t learned how many possibilities there were.

Family Picnic

Family picnics at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa always seemed to involve a lot of splashing. The high tide associated with the Blue Moon delighted the youngsters. the Face of Everyman hoped that they would tire soon; it was his nap time.

Prime Time?

Cheeky wasn’t sure about his chances of hosting a week of Jeopardy when they taped the show next month here at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. He made a polite inquiry with the Face of Everyman. The venerable sage tried to let the little rodent down easily when he said that the tapping had been cancelled but that he’d reached out to Wheel of Fortune and The Bachelorette. Was Cheeky ready for Prime Time?

Antler Pride

Somehow Cedric was proud of his asymmetric antlers. He wasn’t sure how he would fare with the other bucks of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. Rutting season was fast approaching. Was he ready for mortal combat? the Face of Everyman was reluctant to comment.

Shrove Tuesday?

Although Shrove Tuesday wasn’t until March 2022 some of the ladies were practicing their racing skills months ahead of time. Balancing the cakes would come later. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa entrants always do well. the Face of Everyman makes a special batch of his famous pancakes for this annual event.

Grand Marshall

What to do? What to do? The village drunk had been selected to be the Grand Marshall in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa Labor Day parade. the Face of Everyman knew that his professional reputation rested upon this not happening. He lost three night’s sleep fretting over this matter. He hopped that this was nothing more than just some psychotic episode.

After the poker game broke up the boys were reluctant to retire. Instead one suggested that they terrorize the venerable sage. The folks at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa were used to the pitiful screams of the Face of Everyman as he was spun round and round.
