They were assembled for a special vote to amend the constitution of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. As the proposed changes were read Ear Marks kept appearing. In the end, each duly elected member voted “Here” and as usual nothing was accomplished. the Face of Everyman slept through most of the proceedings.
Symbiosis
Over the years there has developed a strange symbiosis between some creatures of the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. When it is garbage pick-up day in the village Raccoons will knock over garbage cans and tear apart bags, eating some before moving on. But not before strewing the trove for the Crows. Seen above is Au Revoir sharing the bounty with the Face of Everyman. Soggy, stale cheese flavored crackers are a favorite.
The Old Time Chautauqua
The Old Time Chautauqua was booked in to the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa for a one night performance. The Advance Agent had asked the Face of Everyman to provide a few folks of local talent to round out the show. Seen above in audition is Nigel doing an old soft shoe shuffle and tap. The venerable sage was anxious to meet the Flying Karamazov Brothers headliners of the chaotic show.
Crash
Herman was trying to make an impression on Louise but it didn’t go well. He had all the room in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa one could ask for to a make smooth, controlled landing, but . . . the Face of Everyman offered a few lessons in coordination. Herman was too embarrassed to even entertain the idea of such help.
Swim Club
Mom was sick and tired of waiting. Baby Huey was going to take to the waters this very day. She had enrolled her brood in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa Swimming club and Summer camp. She was painfully aware that the Face of Everyman would not refund her deposit. So despite Baby Huey’s protests and with a nudge from Mom, he was first in the water. Everyman assured Mom that her child had Olympic potential.
Paradise
Startled, the Face of Everyman awoke seeing only a fearsome bird above his head. He had seen none other like this creature at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. It was some moments before he realized that it was the shears of a lopper; a tool used by staff to keep this vast paradise always appealing to the guests.
Glamour
Erlene posed for over a hundred glamour shots in the early morning hours at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. She wanted a provocative pose to share with her new online contact Billy Bob. the Face of Everyman furnished contraband cigarettes for several takes meant to be sexy but they quickly unraveled. In the end it was all for nought. Billy Bob was searching for a nest builder. Someone to extend his legacy down thru the ages. Besides his condo had a non-smoking deed restriction.
Game Show
Bob and Ethel won an all expense paid vacation at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa on a national TV game show. Unfortunately their booking coincided with an outbreak of Avian Flu. Most of the staff was in strict quarantine. the Face of Everyman was immune and became their most boring constant companion. By late afternoon they had heard all of his Shakespearean Jokes.
Prom Night
Rodney wasn’t sure that spiky hair was still a style. Perhaps a Mohawk would be a better choice for Prom Night. the Face of Everyman was ambiguous. Aside from donning mating colors few style choices changed throughout the years at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. In the end Rodney and his prom date went in conventional attire.
TED Talk
This weeks TED Talk at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa was so inspirational that Armstrong left the theater with a clear mandate: spread his wings; be all he could be. the Face of Everyman wished that he could have heard such an uplifting and influencing presentation when he was in his formative years. No telling where he might be now.
