the Face of Everyman entered another photo in the monthly contest held at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. This one he titled: “March contrails over weathered owl box.” He crossed his fingers; hoping for at least a Blue Ribbon.
Blue Ribbon?
Warm-front
the Face of Everyman held his breath, was this scrawny little bird the first American Goldfinch to return to the summer breeding grounds? It turned out that he and a handful of others had ridden a fast-moving Warm Front North. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa was an excellent place to ride out the impending storm.
The Clan
Family get togethers were an impromptu event; prompted mostly by the nature and bounty of food offered by the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. the Face of Everyman was pleased he could oblige a growing family.
Not-Our-Cat
The last known sighting of Not-Our-Cat, AKA Mr. Pickles. He has not been seen for two days. The Crows are silent as to his where abouts. The songbirds fear foul play. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa will not be the same without him. the Face of Everyman was sure he would show up soon.
Deluge
Plop Drops triggered the security cameras and briefly caused confusion amongst guests at the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. the Face of Everyman awoke sputtering with a mouthful of Spring rainwater.
Flash
Father Robin (the circuit rider preacher) always tried to make a dramatic entrance to the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa. He thought it increased the Sunday turn-out, more confessions and the size of the tithe. the Face of Everyman thought it stole some of his own Thunder.
Horror
the Face of Everyman viewed with alarm Cheeky about to pounce on Natsha. The Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa had strict rules against hunting. He tried to intervene by shouting; but nothing came out. He was mute with his state of horror.
Spring
Henrettia’s almanac said it was the first day of Spring. She searched the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa for new blossoms of any kind. She was loathed to ask, “Mr. Smarty Pants,” the Face of Everyman.
Spring
It seemed a sure sign of Spring in the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa as the denizens began pairing up. the Face of Everyman made note in the guest register: Birds noted kissing.
Huntress
Boots, a House Cat by day and a Huntress by night. She flaunted the “no hunting rule” that covered the Foggy Bottoms Resort and Spa sprawling acreage. Most evenings the Face of Everyman tried to ignore her. There was still a chance that a Coyote would chase her down.
